All the features of the wavestate mkII in a compact housing.
In 2020, the wavestate propelled KORG's Wave Sequencing to a higher level. Featuring the radically redesigned Wave Sequencing 2.0, the wavestate offers astonishing and ever-evolving sounds. Far from a nostalgic reissue, the wavestate was specifically designed for a new generation of musicians, producers, and composers, drawing inspiration from diverse sources such as modular synthesizers, drum machines, and algorithmic composition.
120 voices of polyphony, updated LFOs, and more.
Taking full advantage of a new design and new hardware components, the wavestate module offers 120 voices of polyphony in stereo. This rack-mountable 4U module has the same controls as the keyboard models but is easily portable and seamlessly integrates into any studio or production environment. Additionally, in response to user requests, Korg has updated all LFOs with options for free operation, delayed start, and retriggering, added new modulation sources, and more. The wavestate module is fully compatible with sounds and samples from the original wavestate, wavestate mk II, wavestate SE, and wavestate native software, as well as with many excellent third-party libraries.
MIDI 2.0 and Polyphonic Aftertouch
With the latest software updates, all wavestate models, both hardware and software, now support the exchange of MIDI 2.0 properties. The original factory sounds have also been updated to include polyphonic aftertouch. All of this makes the wavestate module an excellent companion for the KORG Keystage controller.
Rack-mountable and/or Desktop
The wavestate module is cleverly designed for desktop or rack use. The panel is redesigned to fit a standard width of 19 inches and a depth of 4U, and the rear panel is recessed to allow easy access to cables. In desktop mode, you can choose the panel angle.
