Yamaha Revstar RSS02T Swift Blue
Revstar was Yamaha's first new series of electric guitars in more than a decade, drawing on the brand's heritage in electric guitar design and Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd's motorcycle design heritage.
“The original Revstar concept was inspired by Café Racer motorcycles: high-performance racing machines that showcased the personality of riders,” says Dave Miner, Product Marketing Manager for Electric Guitars, Yamaha Guitar Group. “The new Revstar Series perfects this concept aspect with improved playability, versatility and tone, for players interested in classic style with modern updates.”
The new Revstar series consists of three levels: Element, Standard and Made in Japan Professional. All models feature chambered bodies developed with Yamaha's acoustic design process. Using advanced measurement and modeling tools, Yamaha developed the chambering pattern to specifically shape the sound and increase resonance, while reducing weight and optimizing balance.
All new Revstar models feature unique switching options for added versatility.
Revstar Standard RSS02T models feature P90-style single-coil pickups, featuring the Focus Switch, a passive boost function that evokes the tone of overwound pickups, plus a unique 5-way switching circuit that offers a new twist on the classics “intermediate” sounds.
