La J40SCE è una chitarra acustica elettrificata Jumbo a spalla mancante. È dotata di un top in abete Sitka massello con rinforzo Cathedral Peaked Scalloped-X, bellissimo fondo e fasce in acero fiammato, manico in mogano con tastiera e ponte in Ovangkol, meccaniche pressofuse dorate, un battipenna tartarugato e una rosetta Washburn Heritage.La J40SCE è dotata di un acero fiammato visivamente sbalorditivo per il fondo e le fasce. L'acero è un legno dal suono brillante che funziona perfettamente con lo stile del corpo Jumbo, elevando la qualità di questa chitarra, grande dal suono potente. La chitarra monta il preamplificatore Fishman Presys + 501T.
