Taylor's C-Class bracing system was specially designed to emphasise and enhance the lower frequencies and overall bass response from smaller-bodied acoustic guitars. Its asymmetrical, cantilevered design maintains the core tone of the acoustic and ensures that the overall frequency range and dynamics do not suffer as a consequence of the low-end enhancement. The guitar remains sweet sounding with strong dynamics and a clear focus.

Designed with the purpose of capturing as much of the expressive and dynamic properties of an acoustic guitar as possible the Taylor ES2 system is regarded as one of the best acoustic pickup systems on the market. Reimagining the typical Piezo transducers typically found on an acoustic pickup and positioning them behind the saddle rather than underneath led to a guitar pickup that not only sounds fuller and more dynamic but also more natural and musical.
