I Wind Gong Meinl Sonic Energy sono tradizionalmente realizzati a mano in Cina utilizzando una speciale lega di bronzo. Questi gong sono conosciuti anche con il nome Feng o Sun Gong e hanno una forma quasi piatta. Questa forma permette alla voce del gong di aprirsi completamente con un ampio spettro tonale e un lungo sustain. I toni bassi sono pi dominanti alle dinamiche basse, ma suonando con pi vigore il gong apre bene e produce sovratoni pieni. Ogni gong viene fornito con un battente e una cover.
