Line6 Helix Platinum Limited Edition
ith the Helix series, Line6 presents the next Generation in modeling technology. Equipped with the HX modeling engine, which is powered by two digital signal processors (DSP), the Helix delivers convincing amp, cabinet and effect sounds. For this purpose, many well-known amplifiers have been analyzed down to the smallest detail and virtually reproduced so that the playing feel corresponds to the originals. A total of 45 amp, 30 cabinet, 16 microphone and 70 effect simulations are available, of which up to 32 can be used simultaneously.
The Line6 Helix Floor offers all these functions in a compact, easy-to-transport floorboard that is perfect for gigs.
During the development of the Line6 Helix Floor, great importance was attached to simple and easy-to-understand operation, which clearly distinguishes it from other multi-effects and modelers. The 6.2" (158 mm) color LCD display provides an excellent overview of the selected programs. In addition, the edit cluster, which consists of a joystick and 4 buttons, and the six rotary knobs, which provide direct access to parameters, provide a clearly laid out control panel.
Programs and presets can be called up via 12 footswitches, whereby each footswitch has its own color code and its own, freely programmable LCD display, providing an excellent overview.
The Line6 Helix Floor also has a wide range of connection options. In addition to the instrument input, there is a microphone input in XLR format with a fully-fledged Preamp and an aux input. Two connections for expression pedals, such as the Mission SP1-L6H specially developed for Helix Boards, allow effect parameters to be controlled in real time if required, while four effect paths significantly simplify the construction of complex setups. The Line6 Helix Floor also features Midi In/Thru/Out sockets, stereo outputs in XLR and jack format, S/PDIF and AES/EBU digital outputs as well as Variax and L6 Link connections.
