The Korg ARP Odyssey FS Rev1 is a recreation of the legendary ARP Odyssey; an analog synthesizer originated from the 70's. Earlier, Korg already came with another remake of this synthesizer, however this was in a smaller form than the original. Now, Korg is taking it to the next level by making the recreation the same size as the original.
The ARP Odyssey: a legendary analog synth from the 70's. Everybody felt disappointed when the production stopped and wanted it to come back as soon as possible. About a year ago this is exactly what the Japanese company Korg did, however in a slightly smaller form than the original. Now, Korg is taking it a step further by making a remake that is pretty much the same as the original. This limited edition remake is exactly the same size as the original and has the same characteristic sound and feel as the original ARP Odyssey. The ARP Odyssey is a duophonic synthesizer, what means that you are able to play a maximum of 2 notes at the same time. Next to this the synthesizer has 2 VCO's (voltage controlled oscillators) and another so called 'Noise Generator'. Next to this, the synth has multiple filters and nice faders to set everything up the right way. The ARP Odyssey was build for the first time in 1972. After this it has been used by ABBA and Elton John, but the Odyssey is also perfectly usable for Techno, House and many other electronic music genres.
