Throughout his illustrious career, Simmons has played a number of Gibson basses but the Thunderbird is arguably the model he is most associated with.
The all new Gibson Gene Simmons G2 Thunderbird Bass pays tribute to the rock icon whilst providing him with the tools he needs to rock and roll all nite, and party every day!
The G2 Thunderbird Bass features the iconic offset reverse-Thunderbird Mahogany body, adorned in a classy Ebony finish with a mirror plex pickguard.
A rounded Mahogany neck is topped with a sleek 12" radius bound Ebony fingerboard with Pearloid reverse split diamond inlays.
The G2 Thunderbird Bass is loaded with a pair of powerful T-Bird pickups, each with individual volume controls and a master tone control, meeting the needs of both Simmons and modern bassists everywhere.
A Graph Tech® nut and Hipshot® Mini-Clover tuners ensure optimal tuning stability and allow the strings to move smoothly.
A Hipshot® Bass bridge at the other end provides accurate intonation whilst maximising the transference of sound energy to the pickups.
Other features include a Nitrocellulose finish, black chrome hardware and a laser engraved custom Gene Simmons logo on the pickguard.
The G2 Thunderbird Bass also includes a modern hard case for convenient storage and protection. Thunderbirds are go!
