Here, a fuzz pedal is what you will need to satisfy your desire to create electric soundscapes between psychedelia and more aggressive rock. Fuzz pedals have a history that goes hand in hand with that of overdrive: it was country session guitarist Grady Martin in 1961 who contributed to the success of Marty Robbins' single "Don't worry" thanks to the broken preamp of his amp with which recorded the song.
