Fender Custom Shop Ltd Roasted 1960 Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic 3 Tone Sunburst
This Fender Custom Limited Edition Roasted '60s Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic with Aged Lake Placid Blue over 3-Color Sunburst finish immediately strikes for its lived-in aesthetic and the materials used. However, it is an instrument which, by carefully reading the technical specifications, has some notable characteristics.
The body, made of "Roasted" alder selected for lightness, is combined with a quartersawn cut maple neck, also Roasted, for excellent stability. Given these technical specifications the instrument is extremely resonant and with a powerful attack.
The neck has a comfortable Mid 60's Oval "C" profile and is combined with a rosewood fingerboard, selected for darkness, with Jumbo / 6100 frets with a 9.5" radius.
The electronics finally consists of a set of Fender Custom Hand-Wound Ancho Poblano Stratocaster Single Coil wired with a Strat 1/2 Blander wiring with Tone Saver, i.e. where the Tone 2 control acts as a Blender for the neck pickup.
