The Fender Custom shop 58 Precision Bass Heavy Relic is a rumbling, low-end phenomenon. Representing the earliest incarnation of the modern Precision Bass, this Heavy Relic'd special plays just like it's been gigged with for decades. Through the care and attention of the Custom Shop, you're getting a veteran instrument that has all the sweet, aged sonics but none of the reliability issues. It's going to turn heads.
If its dashing, rugged looks haven't got you inspired, its premium components and effortless playability certainly will. An expertly crafted, quartersawn maple neck and fingerboard provides the base for adventurous riffing. Hewn into a '57 soft "V" shape, it'll feel just like the originals. Those basslines you conjure up are going hit with a sweet, vintage thump thanks to the hand-wound '57 Precision Bass pickup. It's made from period-correct materials and wiring, so you'll get authentic '50s low end frequencies, voiced to perfection
