The ESP Eclipse Custom from the Original Series is hand made by master builders in the ESP Custom Shop in Japan where attention to detail verges on the obsessive. These electric guitars are designed for serious musicians who are looking for an instrument that has no compromises. You can be certain, therefore, that the Eclipse Custom is an electric guitar that will impress on all levels. It even comes complete with a form fit case.
The mahogany body has a maple top and the mahogany neck has a dark, ebony fretboard with a modern 12-inch radius. Thanks to the thin U profile and a nut width of 42 mm, the neck immediately feels comfortable in the hand. Top-quality parts like the TonePros Locking TOM bridge with Gotoh stopbar and Gotoh locking machine heads mean that this guitar has excellent tuning stability and accurate intonation too.
ESP have equipped the Eclipse Custom with the popular EMG JH 'Het' Set active humbucker pickups. These combine the clarity and punch of a passive pickup with the tight response and thick low end of an active pickup. As a result, the Eclipse has an outstanding response to the dynamics in your playing and by tweaking the two volume potentiometers and the tone potentiometer, you can rely on a wide range of sounds. In short, this ESP has way more to offer than just great tones for metal music!
