The piano represents 19 years of research and development to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering. This harmonious combination allowed Yamaha engineers to examine every element of the piano, discovering how each detail can affect the sound.

In 2010, the CFX was the piano chosen by the winner of the prestigious International Chopin Competition. Since then, the CFX has gained recognition as one of the greatest grand pianos of all time. Now you can experience it, all from the comfort of your home. Boasting sparkling highs and powerful lows, these CFX samples will transform your practice into a recital.
Intelligent Acoustic Control provides a full and balanced sound with rich lows and crisp highs even at low volumes. One of the joys of the YDP S35 is that the volume can be adjusted to avoid disturbing others. However, playing at low volumes can make it difficult to hear the bass and treble. The intelligent acoustic control function automatically adjusts the sound, and the volume control makes fine adjustments to the speaker system, ensuring you always get the highest sound quality even at low volumes.
Who said pianos have to be traditional? The Smart Pianist app offers a range of functions that give you control. The app allows you to select instrument voices, adjust various settings, record your performance and much more. You'll find yourself making music faster with this app as it gives you the freedom to do so via your smart device.
Now you can play along to your favorite songs. Smart Pianist scans audio songs uploaded to your music library, analyzes the chord progressions, and then displays them for you on your smart device screen. It's that simple. Play as the chords scroll, while listening to the song playback through your piano's speaker system. Uploading MIDI songs to the app will also allow you to follow digital sheet music as you play.
