YAMAHA YCL255S Bb CLARINET

The 255 series clarinets combine state-of-the-art manufacturing expertise with features found on Yamaha's high-end clarinets. The result is an exceptional student instrument that delivers a warm, resonant tone very similar to that of wooden clarinets. It features an ABS resin body with a matte finish that simulates real wood grain and an adjustable thumb rest with a strap ring, allowing the instrument to be held without excessive effort, even for smaller hands.

Keys

While silver-plated keys of YCL-255S give a softer and warmer sound, nickel-plated keys of YCL-255 delivers a clear focused tone.

New adjustable thumb rest and strap ring

The new adjustable thumb rest offers a comfortable position for hands of different sizes and helps the player develop correct technique. In addition, the strap ring allows the instrument to be held without excessive effort. Properly secured screws and soldered silver rings ensure long-lasting mechanical stability.

Newly redesigned bell

A new bell made only of durable and solid ABS resin results in a lighter instrument with better response. A resonance chamber in the bell aids in projection and improves intonation in the low notes.

Barrel design

The 65 mm barrel, based on the design of high-end Yamaha models, produces a focused sound.

Matte finish

The pleasant matte finish simulates real wood grain and provides the greater resistance of ABS resin.
