The Yamaha P-S500 digital piano is a smart piano that synchronizes the "Stream Lights" function, which shows the performer which keys to play, with the "Smart Pianist" app, helping you with your piano lessons.

Simply connect the instrument to a smart device and use the dedicated Smart Pianist app to access all instrument controls and setup tools. You can also benefit from powerful features like piano scores generated by the app from your favorite songs, helping you learn and play along.

The red and blue lights above each key show you which notes to play, and when to play them. This amazing feature helps you learn how to play, practice, without having learned to read music, making learning more fun than before.

The instrument features 403 built-in songs covering a wide range of musical genres, from pop songs to classical pieces. You can play melodies along with a full band accompaniment. The powerful Audio to Score function automatically creates piano accompaniment notations from your favorite audio tracks so you can play along with the original recordings.

The P-S500 incorporates piano sounds captured from the top-of-the-line Yamaha CFX concert grand piano and the famous Viennese Bösendorfer Imperial grand piano. These piano samples put two of the world's finest and most important concert grand pianos at your fingertips.

The P-S500 thus reproduces the unlimited number of factors that manifest when playing an acoustic piano, for example, which keys are pressed, the duration of the notes, and the pedal depression time.

The 88-key Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) piano keyboard ensures a heavier touch in the bass register and a lighter touch in the treble register, just like an acoustic piano. Excellent for the aspiring pianist, as practicing on the GHS mechanism helps build finger strength and technique in preparation for playing an acoustic piano.

The P-S500 features 660 varied and high-quality voices including breathtaking pianos, electric pianos, organs, brass, strings, percussion, and more. From soulful saxophones to ringing guitars and warm, resonant strings, the P-S500 impressively replicates sounds down to the subtlest nuances. Thanks to the acclaimed Super Articulation technology, the distinctive characteristics of each instrument are reproduced in incredible detail as you play.

The P-S500 allows you to record your performances in two different formats: audio and MIDI. Audio recording allows you to capture your piano performance in a conventional way, which you can then play back on your smart device. MIDI recording, on the other hand, allows you to record up to 16 tracks, with separate parts for left and right hands or complex multi-instrument arrangements.

Since a microphone can be connected to the P-S500, you can enjoy singing along with the keyboard performance or along with song playback.

The Smart Pianist app not only supports wired connection, but also wireless with UD-WL01 adapter, Wi-Fi USB.
