Description

Vater VWTB ''Beantown Brush'' - 0.530'' Rubber Coated Handle/Retractable Steel Bristles

A throwback to the old-school brushes of decades past. While rummaging through Jack Adams’s [Alan Vater’s grandfather] cases, we came across some vintage brushes made specially for Jack when he owned and operated Jack's Drum Shop in Boston, and as he played jazz and big band gigs.

The Beantown Brush handle measures 0.530" for a lighter, faster feel, combined with a thinner gauge wire for more flex and a smooth sound with plenty of classic tonality. The reddish-brown color of the rubber handle is a nod to both the era of vintage brushes, as well as Boston's nickname, "Beantown," where Vater's stick making story began in the basement of Jack's Drum Shop
