Focal Trio 11 BE: Horizontal or vertical?

The Focal TRIO 11 speaker adapts to your recording studio, your desk, and your positioning needs. The ability to rotate the aluminum plate – fixed with 4 Allen screws – on which the tweeter and mid-woofer are installed, will allow you to maintain phase alignment and stereo image intact in both possible placements, vertical or horizontal, for optimal audio reproduction that always respects spatiality.

The Trio11 Be features a 1" pure beryllium inverted dome tweeter known for its incredible lightness and rigidity, which allows for an extended frequency response up to 40 kHz without distortion. The 'W' composite sandwich cone technology, applied to both the 5" woofer and the 10" subwoofer, ensures neutral, dynamic, and incredibly detailed sound reproduction across the entire audio spectrum.

Thanks to its particular configuration, this monitor can act as a dual listening system, simulating – thanks to Focus Mode – two distinct listening systems:

The cabinet of the Trio11 Be professional studio speaker was manufactured in Bourbon-Lancy, in Focal's dedicated French laboratory, using MDF panels with varying thicknesses between 21 and 30mm, to ensure not only extreme robustness but also a contextual reduction of unwanted resonances.
