Description

The Tone Hammer 700 is Aguilar's 700-watt bass head with a solid-state Class D preamp. It features a -10dB pad input, two speakon outputs, a balanced XLR output with pre/post EQ switch and ground lift, a tuner output, and an effects loop. It has EQ controls with an adjustable mid-band and a drive control with the Adaptive Gain Shaping circuit.

OVERVIEW OF THE AGUILAR TONE HAMMER 700

Thanks to the preamp, already used in the highly-regarded Tone Hammer D.I. preamp, the new TH 700 offers extensive flexibility in tone shaping, and its light weight, at only 2.2 kg with a full 700 watts of power, makes it one of the most versatile heads a bassist could wish for. With 700 continuous watts at 4 and 2.67 Ohms and 350 watts at 8 Ohms, the Tone Hammer 700 offers the ability to manage your sound through controls for bass, mids, and treble. The Mid Freq potentiometer allows you to select the range of mid frequencies to operate on. The Drive control uses Aguilar's patented AGS circuit, which adds a slight distortion and midrange punch. The Tone Hammer 700 also features a send and return, a balanced XLR output, two speakon outputs on the rear panel, and a tuner output, also on the rear. You can apply a -10dB pad for active instruments, select pre and post for the balanced line out, apply ground lift if necessary, and with the mute button, connect and disconnect your bass without issues.
