KORG SyncDancing is a miniature music player designed and created for practicing ballroom dancing, wearable like an earphone. In addition to classic metronome functions, this device has 20 built-in songs, standard ballroom dance music. This way, you can practice anywhere, anytime with the most suitable music. This unit provides everything you need to improve your dancing skills, refining your sense of rhythm. You can practice alone or with a partner by synchronizing the tempo via infrared, so two people, each wearing a SyncDancing, can dance together.

SyncDancing is a unique configuration of a player and metronome, extremely compact and lightweight, that can be attached and listened to directly in your ear. Precisely because of this feature, you can practice dancing with the right rhythm, listening to music directly in your ear, without being distracted by external sounds or noises; ideal for those who study at home or in schools or dance halls. The keys to improving your dancing skills are: acquiring steps and technique, improving your sense of rhythm, and finally acquiring the ability to express yourself through dance. With SyncDancing, you can experience all of this anytime, anywhere.

20 internal standard dance music tracks

20 standard dance music tracks such as Waltz, Tango, Rumba, and Cha Cha Cha are already available in the instrument. You can listen to a track by switching between the track and the metronome (*). Each internal track has been created by a professional arranger who works on music productions for dance halls. The sound generator section is based on KORG's experience and most advanced technology acquired in the professional sector, with a high-quality sound engine in a tiny size. The tracks are in SMF (Standard Midi Files) format, so you can freely vary their tempo. SyncDancing allows you to practice dancing with the highest quality music.

Infrared tempo synchronization for KORG SyncDancing

SyncDancing allows for individual practice as well as partner practice. It is possible to synchronize two units with each other via infrared (*), so that each partner will hear the rhythm or song perfectly synchronized at the same speed. An appropriate delay can be set in the timing, from the moment of synchronization until the actual start of the song, with a range of 0-90 seconds (**). This allows for a wide degree of versatility to meet various needs, such as setting a short delay to allow the start of a lesson, or using a longer delay to give dancers time to take their position in the dance hall.

* There is no upper limit to the number of units that can be synchronized
** Selectable delay values are: 0, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, and 90 seconds. A count is performed every second.

The Voice Counter

The SyncDancing metronome, in addition to the classic standard “beep beep” sound, also has a vocal counter that marks the rhythm movements with: "one, two, three...", this allows for less impersonal practice, with an accurate count of the tempo.

A wide variety of rhythmic subdivisions

The tempo speed is adjustable from 30 to 252 BPM (beats per minute), and a wide variety of rhythmic subdivisions and variations are available. Beats can be adjusted from 0 to 9, the musical reference value can be selected from: quarter notes, eighth notes, eighth note triplets, triplets with the middle value omitted, triplets with the third value omitted, sixteenth notes, sixteenth note quadruplets with the two middle values omitted, sixteenth note quadruplets with the third and fourth values omitted. These practically cover most needs in every style and musical genre.

Adjust Tempo via Jog Switch

SyncDancing has a Jog Switch on the side of the body, which allows you to change settings easily without having to remove the unit from your ear. Via the Jog Switch, you can adjust the tempo speed, subdivisions, rhythm, and volume, with an extremely intuitive and simple operating mode. Inside the metronome, on the other hand, are: the main switch, the mode selection button, and the LCD display that shows the tempo and other information.

The Comfort of KORG SyncDancing

SyncDancing uses two distinct mechanisms to ensure a stable and secure fit in every ear, small or large. The first is called the “Ear Fitter” and is located under the speaker, whose angle can be accurately adjusted by rotating the speaker itself, to adapt it to various ear physiological structures. The second is a Clip (Ear-Clip) that opens and closes, securing the instrument to the earlobe. The Clip ensures a solid grip, making the metronome immune even from sudden impacts, jolts, or sudden movements during use.

Autonomy and Backup of KORG SyncDancing

Despite its ultra-compact size, SyncDancing allows for approximately 200 hours of continuous use, with a single lithium battery. The Memory Backup function allows for saving various settings even when the metronome is turned off. The battery can be easily replaced by opening and closing the special cover located on the back of the metronome.

Ear pad and case included

To improve personal adaptability, SyncDancing comes with a soft and well-cushioned ear pad (Ear Pad *), and a carrying case that allows you to neatly store the metronome itself, the battery, and the Ear Pad. This way, you can always have everything you need for rhythmic exercise at hand wherever you go!

* In case of loss or damage, generic ear pads with a diameter of 16mm can be used.
