Alesis Strata Core is an electronic drum kit consisting of five mesh head drums with dual zone (12” snare, two 8” toms, a 10” floor tom, and an 8” kickpad), three triple-zone ARC cymbals with choke (14” ride and two 12” crashes), and a 12” hi-hat with an ultra-responsive magnetic sensor.
The “Strata CORE” module, with its BFD3 sound engine, manages the drum kit via a 7” touchscreen panel, 75 factory kits and unlimited user kits, 25 GB of preloaded content including over 370 customizable instruments, over 800 sound articulations, and over 144,000 samples adjustable with microphone channels.

As with the Alesis Strata Prime, the Strata Core offers drummers outstanding playability, exceptional sound quality, and durable steel rack construction with a small footprint.
Every detail of the Alesis Strata Core has been designed to provide a natural experience for intermediate to expert drummers. The Strata Core drum heads, entirely made of mesh, have adjustable tension, the 360-degree playable ARC cymbals can be mounted on standard acoustic drum stands, and the hi-hat retains the revolutionary “Active Magnetic” technology of the Alesis Strata Prime, ensuring precision and accuracy.

N.B.: Kickpad pedal and hi-hat stand are sold separately.

Drumpads

They maintain the same construction and design as the Alesis Strata Prime drumpads but with reduced dimensions. The 12” snare and 8”/8”/10” toms are dual-zone with independent head, rimstick, and rim shot sounds.
The 8” kickpad offers a wide playing surface, suitable for all varieties of single and double bass drum pedals on the market.
Tension can be adjusted with standard 1/4” acoustic drum tension rods, allowing you to set the exact level of rebound and expressiveness to your preference. Unnatural and undesirable “hotspots” on the heads are eliminated thanks to the unique patented anti-hotspot sensor design (U.S. Patent 9,424,827).

ARC Cymbals

Strata Core's ARC cymbals are exceptionally sensitive with a finely lathed surface. All three cymbals, the 14” ride and the two 12” crashes, are triple-zone with different sounds activated on the bell, body, and edge of each cymbal. They are all 360-degree playable, so you can play anywhere on the cymbal and are mounted on standard acoustic cymbal stands, allowing them to respond and swing naturally without limitations.

Hi-Hat

The 12” active magnetic hi-hat is mounted on a standard acoustic hi-hat stand. As with the cymbals, it is triple-zone and 360-degree playable. The adjustable magnetic position detection in the dedicated section of the Core Module ensures that pedal movements represent the drummer's foot sensitivity in high resolution.

Hardware

The backbone of Strata Core is a curved steel rack on which the toms, cymbals, and module are mounted. Robust yet flexible, it allows the kit to be adjusted to the ideal position for your setup.
The Crash and Ride cymbals can be mounted on standard acoustic cymbal stands and are not tethered to the rack, creating a great decoupling between the parts.

STRATA CORE MODULE

The heart of Strata Core is the powerful drum module featuring a 7” touchscreen display and a powerful BFD sound engine running on a multi-core processor. It contains over 25 GB of content, 75 kits, over 370 kit pieces, over 800 articulations, and over 144,000 samples.

Triggers are customizable via the E-kit Trigger section, and you can experiment with the “stacks” function to create unique and personal sounds by combining multiple samples. Control options include rotary encoders, separate volume knobs, Bluetooth 5.0, MIDI connectivity, and USB storage for importing samples.
