The best SLEDGE ever!

This version of Sledge features a new, exclusive Dark "Look", including the cabinet and the semi-weighted keyboard with Aftertouch, and inverted-color keys with a more solid feel.

The instrument's sound palette has also been updated with a new set of Presets created and signed by important Sound Designers, taking full advantage of the possibilities offered by the internal sound engine, which allows blending synthesis and samples.

More dynamic sound

The audio output level has been increased to achieve an even more powerful, dynamic, and clean sound. LFO 2 is now synchronized, allowing it to maintain the same phase in the modulation of all notes.

Instrument Overview

Studiologic is pleased to present the Black Edition of its renowned SLEDGE synthesizer.

This new version introduces interesting technical and operational features that position this instrument above any competitor.

In fact, the powerful synthesis system is now complemented by the ability to use samples, perfectly integrated with the user interface with extensive real-time controls and great immediacy. The new features further enhance the instrument's sonic power and versatility. The Studiologic and Waldorf Labs technical team has made Sledge Black Edition more versatile than a simple synthesizer, with the introduction of the DUAL function, sample loading (60 MB of internal Flash memory), and increased polyphony.

Additional Features

Auto Dual mode

Sledge Black Edition can play two timbres simultaneously, thanks to the DUAL mode. This function is appropriately controlled by a new page in GLOBAL mode, which allows intuitive selection of SPLIT mode (split keyboard) or LAYER (two superimposed sounds), and the sound assigned to them. The combination of the two sounds can naturally be stored in any of the 1,000 available locations.

Global Pitch & Hold Controls

A new GLOBAL page allows enabling Pitch Bend and Hold independently for the UPPER and LOWER sounds selected in DUAL mode. This allows, for example, enabling Pitch Bend only on the UPPER sound for solo parts, while the LOWER sound plays chords unaffected by Bending. Similarly, the HOLD pedal can act only on the LOWER part to maintain, for example, a DRUM GROOVE, or function as a DAMPER for a piano sound, or vice versa. Naturally, HOLD can be enabled on the sounds of both the UPPER and LOWER sections.

Reverb + Delay

This function allows combining both effects, maintaining the previous reverb settings, while the real-time controls (Time & Level) adjust the Delay parameters even when it is mixed with the reverb.

Samples

New sounds and samples can be loaded into the internal 60MB Flash memory and played by oscillator 1 (OSC1). The new samples can be edited directly from the control panel, with the possibility of adding other oscillators, filters, envelopes, effects, etc. This function creates an innovative combination of synthesis and sampling, allowing further development of the instrument's sounds.

Increased polyphony

The number of simultaneous notes has now been increased to 24, to achieve better results using the new operational features introduced with DUAL mode and samples.

Sledge SPECTRE

It is a free application downloadable from the Studiologic website (click here), which allows editing the main parameters of the samples: keyboard range, tuning, and more, and transmits them to SLEDGE 2.0 via the USB port. With this simple Editor, it is possible to load samples onto your computer and then download them into the instrument's memory.
