Our "country fried" Pearly Gates humbucker pickups turn any Les Paul style guitar into a classic outlaw rock machine. The Pearly Gates neck captures all the mojo of Billy Gibbons' original 1959 Les Paul neck pickup. It’s a P.A.F. with a unique tonal variation that delivers more midrange than typical humbuckers of the time. The result is a neck pickup that cuts through with stronger tailored mids, but still has the open, airy treble attack of the alnico 2 bar magnet. Combined with a warm, spongy low end, this pickup is great for both rhythm and lead. Seymour discovered that Billy's bridge pickup had a little more output than most P.A.F.s. The alnico 2 bar magnet keeps the high-end airy yet focused, and the midrange emphasis gives it a unique Texas sizzle. It truly has a growl all its own and will help bring any humbucker equipped instrument to life. Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, Pearly Gates vintage output humbucker pickups use an alnico 2 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. The Pearly Gates bridge is available with standard humbucker and Trembucker spacing. As with all our P.A.F. style humbuckers, each Pearly Gates is wound on Seymour’s original Leesona winding machine from the first Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI for that unmistakable vintage mojo.
