Joe Bonamassa first saw the 'Cradle Rock' Strat as a teenager at the Philadelphia Guitar Show in 1994. He bought the then-pristine 1963 Fender Sunburst Stratocaster, which became one of the most sentimental pieces in his collection. The pickups in this Strat, named after the Rory Gallagher song Joe recorded on his debut album, have a powerful and distinctive sound that he wants to share with guitarists pursuing that sound. The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop designed the vintage windings, aged the magnets, and matched the cover colors until Joe considered these pickups to be a true recreation. Made at the Custom Shop, the Cradle Rock Strat Set is limited to 1000 units, with Joe's signature printed on each pickup.
