It is made with a Swamp Ash body and a bolt-on Maple neck, which houses a 22-fret fingerboard with a 25.5" scale. This instrument embodies the spirit of the electric guitar in the most authentic and timeless way. The PRS Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) "S" pickups provide a powerful and musical sound without the typical hum of single coils. These pickups are made with taller bobbins to accommodate more windings and include additional metal elements between the magnets, producing a powerful and focused sound. The "S" variant of this SE version offers articulated bass, bite, and brilliance, all without noise, ideal even with high gain levels. These two pickups are combined with volume and tone controls with a 3-way selector.
