Dynamic microphone for kick drumThe V KICK is a dynamic microphone designed specifically for kick drums or other sources where low-frequency capture is particularly important (such as bass amplifiers or floor toms). The sound of its capsule, specialized for the kick drum, can also be modified using the two switches located on the back of the microphone.The V KICK's capsule provides a sound character tailored for the kick drum, which can be further shaped using two switches on the back of the microphone. The left switch shapes the overall sound of the microphone, with two options: "Classic" allows for a more traditional kick drum sound, with typical low-frequency punch and a softer sound. If a more contemporary and aggressive sound is desired, the "Modern" setting emphasizes the low and high frequencies.The right switch shapes the microphone's high-frequency character: "Classic" provides a typical punchy sound in the upper mids and a softer sound in the highs, while "Modern" provides a more open, clear, and transient-rich sound in the top-end for a more contemporary and aggressive drum sound.Each of these switches is recessed directly into the microphone body and requires a small flathead screwdriver (or similar tool) to be moved.The V KICK also features a swivel joint that allows it to be easily positioned inside or outside the kick drum. Its low profile allows it to be easily attached to the kick drum hole, and the XLR cable and stand are parallel to reduce cable clutter.
