Scarlett 18i8 features 4 of Focusrite's best-ever third-generation Scarlett microphone preamps: the Air mode replicates the eponymous effect of the original ISA microphone preamp, giving vocal or acoustic recordings a brighter and airier sound. A Pad on each microphone preamp allows you to connect higher-level signals without clipping.

Scarlett 18i8 offers 2 extra Line outputs compared to the previous generation and speaker switching technology for studios with dual monitoring systems. 2 independent headphone outputs allow the engineer and artist to monitor during recording sessions, a pair of virtual loopback inputs allowing you to capture a stereo feed from any combination of hardware inputs and software playback channels, simplifying podcasting, live streaming, and sampling.
