Self-adhesive moongel dampers are blue rubber rectangles, 5mm thick, that are applied to drumheads or any type of percussion instrument and also to cymbals, with the aim of reducing annoying frequencies and resonances and soundproofing and dampening unwanted reverberations. The result is a drier sound without annoying vibrations. The strong point of these adhesives is that, unlike various tapes that are sometimes applied to try and achieve the same result, Moongels are washable and reusable almost infinitely. They also allow for selective control of unwanted resonances based on their position and how they are applied to the head. Ideal for studio performances, excellent in the rehearsal room to avoid long-term annoying noises, and very useful live when the instrument is miked.
