The new Rode NTG-1 is a professional, very lightweight "half-shotgun" microphone. It is specifically designed for professional use in video, film, television and voice-over applications. The NTG-1 features an electronically balanced output and operates via standard phantom power. The NTG-1 offers a very wide frequency response and a controlled polar pattern, coupled with electronics capable of very low self-noise. Furthermore, its construction is particularly lightweight, making direct mounting on a camera simple (thanks to optional accessories). The NTG-1 is sold together with its mount and a specially designed windscreen for use with this microphone, which significantly reduces wind noise during outdoor shooting.
