The Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer RX20-HF Horizontal Fire are decoupling platforms specifically designed for nearfield monitors. They have been engineered to minimize vibrations produced by speaker movement.

The Recoil Stabilizer consists of a three-component layer. A high-density urethane foam base acts as an insulator to prevent vibration transmission to the support surface. A laser-cut steel plate serves both as a platform for the speaker and as a stabilizing mass. Finally, a thin non-slip neoprene sheet is used to firmly hold the monitor in place. The Recoil Stabilizer works by simply placing the speaker on the support; no further procedures are required. All Recoil Stabilizers are available in three versions that allow the speaker to be "aimed" not only horizontally but also upwards or downwards.

How they work

By reducing speaker vibration, transients become immediately sharper and more precise. Upon first listening, you'll notice more punch and a more extended and defined low-frequency range. After further listening, you'll start to notice greater detail across all frequencies, better transient response, and a significantly more defined stereo image. By eliminating all resonances produced by speakers resting on your stands or supports, your mixes translate better.

How Recoil Stabilizers are made

The Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer RX20-HF is a nearfield monitor decoupler made of four fundamental components:

    
• Non-slip rubber (1): The thin non-slip neoprene surface secures the monitor to the top surface for maximum grip, ensuring correct vibration transfer.
    
• Steel plate (2): The 6mm laser-cut steel plate adds the necessary mass to firmly hold the speaker in place.
    
• Curved front panel (3): Eliminates standing waves and adds mass to the platform without increasing its footprint.
    
• High-density acoustic isolation foam (4) provides the necessary acoustic isolation to eliminate coupling between the speaker and its support base.

What does Horizontal Fire mean

Horizontal Fire – The HF model is designed to ensure speakers are positioned horizontally. This makes the HF an ideal choice for adjustable stands and for mounting in any situation where an additional 5cm of height is desired. This is also the preferred format for isolating subwoofers.
