The Korg PS-3300 FS is a full-scale reissue of the original instrument of the same name, an ultra-rare synthesizer designed by legendary Korg engineer Fumio Mieda, and produced by Korg from 1977 to 1981 in very limited numbers.

The reissue of the PS-3300 FS marks a new milestone in the history of synthesizers, the most recent achievement of the Korg engineering team that has brought iconic machines back to life such as the MS-20, the ARP ODYSSEY, the miniKORG 700 FS and the ARP 2600.

Bringing these legendary machines back to life is not a process aimed solely at reproducing circuits and sounds, but also serves to learn and assimilate the essence of the philosophy and development that underpins synthesizers.

Yoshihito Yamada, Chief Engineer of Korg Analog Synthesizers, stated:

• 49 keys/49 voices of analog polyphony (the original model had 48 keys/voices)
    
• Three units: Synth (PSU-3301) and a mixer & utility section (PSU-3302)

• Three independent oscillators, plus filters, envelopes and multiple amplifiers for each note on its keyboard, for a total of 147 synthesizer voices of pure analog power
    
• Micro-tuning knob x12 on each PSU-3301 unit
    
• New panel memory function (16 programs per bank and 16 banks for a total of 256 slots)
    
• Modernized for use in contemporary music with the inclusion of USB/MIDI jacks and a dedicated library app for easy preset management

• 3-band resonator: Three frequency bands can be emphasized, a unique feature of the PS-3300 (originally a cadmium sulphide circuit, but replaced with modern components for safety and compliance)
