Description

The INSPIRE 1394 is a revolutionary FireWire sound recording card featuring 24-bit/96kHz converters, 4 simultaneous inputs with high-quality mic preamps, sophisticated control software, and a rich package of audio management programs and plugins. The INSPIRE 1394 represents the smallest, most powerful, and flexible computer recording system available today at this price. The INSPIRE 1394 is built with high-quality components and designed for simple and immediate use. It installs instantly on both Windows XP and Mac OS X systems and works with all popular audio applications (Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar, Logic, Digital Performer, etc.). The onboard preamplifiers are designed to provide very low noise sound and high gain.
Inputs and Outputs
The front panel of the INSPIRE 1394 incorporates 2 specially designed Presonus preamplifiers, equipped with +48V phantom power and two high-impedance inputs. The rear panel offers 2 additional inputs selectable between line or phono (to connect your turntable and thus with RIAA filter correction). Outputs are via RCA and stereo minijack, in addition to a dedicated headphone monitoring output.
Control Panel
The INSPIRE 1394 is managed via a simple software called CONTROL PANEL through which you can control input gain, phantom power, limiter (on/off), preamp boost (on/off), sample rate, master volume, headphone output volume, and a zero-latency mixer.
Possibility to daisy-chain multiple units for more inputs
The INSPIRE 1394 is equipped with 2 FireWire connections through which you can connect up to FOUR INSPIRE 1394 in series, for a total of 16 simultaneous inputs at 24-bit/96kHz. Each member of your band can use one for their personal recordings, and during rehearsals, you can link them to record everything. Furthermore, all settings can be saved and recalled in an instant.

CPU/Clock: Pentium, Athlon 900Mhz or higher (1.5GHz recommended)

RAM: 256 MB (512MB recommended)

For using multiple Inspire interfaces simultaneously, a processor of at least 1.5GHz with 1GB of RAM is required.

OS: MacOS X ver. 10.3.7 or later (Tiger 10.4.2 recommended)

CPU/Clock: PowerPC G4/800Mhz or higher (G4/Dual 1 GHz recommended)

Memory (RAM): 256 MB (512MB recommended)

For using multiple Inspire interfaces simultaneously, at least a G4 1.25GHz with 1GB of RAM is required.
