HK Audio Polar 8 is an active portable column speaker with a 1200 Watt peak Class D amplifier. The mid/high section comprises 6 x 2.5” drivers in a line array configuration, while the subwoofer features an 8” cone. It has a frequency response of 50Hz-20kHz, for a peak SPL of 118dB. Equipped with a 24-bit DSP, a 3-channel mixer with analog connections, and Bluetooth TWS 5.0 connectivity. The user interface features 2 XLR/1/4" Jack combo inputs that accept both line and microphone signals, one stereo RCA input or Bluetooth, and one XLR Mix Out for connecting additional units.

The 24-bit DSP in Polar 8 offers a homogeneous sound experience and low distortion across the entire frequency range. The combination of six high-performance midrange drivers and an LF speaker provides long throw and wide coverage. The sturdy cabinet is made of MDF wood and houses a powerful 1200W peak Class D amplifier.

Dispersion and aiming of the Polar series

With its wide 120° dispersion and low feedback tendency, Polar 8 is ideal for stage placement. In many cases, no other stage monitor is needed. Polar 8 can be installed without the lower column segment, making it easier to adjust the height from which the sound is emitted, for example, when needing to place the system on a raised stage. The gradually decreasing volume level ensures consistent sound pressure and coverage even at a distance.

When placed on the ground, the subwoofer, spacer, and mid/high unit of Polar 8 have the correct directivity for both standing and seated audiences.
