<h1 style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>Pedalsmith 30 Head</strong> is the <strong>30 W</strong> <strong>tube amplifier head</strong> from <strong>Hiwatt</strong> that re-proposes the classic DR504 circuit updated with current construction techniques and modern features. The two <strong>6V6</strong> tubes push over 30 W to achieve "pushed" sounds at lower volumes, while the two <strong>High/Low</strong> inputs allow the gain range to be adapted to the type of pickup.</h1><h2>OVERVIEW OF THE HIWATT PEDALSMITH 30 HEAD TUBE AMPLIFIER</h2><p style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>Pedalsmith 30 Head</strong> tube amplifier head is based on the legendary Custom Shop DR504 head, which incorporates the Hiwatt sound that launched numerous famous records. This amplifier reprises its circuit, adding modern features with current construction techniques. It offers crystalline and dynamic Hiwatt sound with two <strong>6V6</strong> tubes that push over 30 W to achieve natural saturation at lower volumes. The two <strong>High</strong> and <strong>Low</strong> inputs allow the gain range to be adapted to the guitar pickups, and each acts as a "Linked" input (as on the legendary 70s Hiwatts modified for Pink Floyd) sending the signal to both the <strong>Normal</strong> and <strong>Brilliant</strong> channels. With separate volumes, it is therefore possible to mix the two signals, while the <strong>Filter</strong> control allows you to choose between three different circuit variants that offer different responses on high and low frequencies. This head is an excellent platform for pedals: in fact, the <strong>effects loop</strong> positioned before the preamp allows greater versatility for modulation and time effects, ensuring a silent and clean signal. The <strong>Bass</strong>, <strong>Treble</strong>, <strong>Middle</strong>, and <strong>Presence</strong> controls allow you to sculpt the sound, and the <strong>Master</strong> allows you to manage the overall volume once the right combination of the two channel levels has been found. On the back there is the footswitch input, the effects loop with the possibility to choose the type of signal sent from the Send output (line or instrument) and two speaker outputs with selectable impedance between <strong>16</strong>, <strong>8</strong> and <strong>4 Ohm</strong>.
