The Nu:Tekt NTS-1 digital KIT is unique and versatile, a simple "DIY" synthesizer that you can assemble without needing a soldering iron! The first in a series of DIY instruments on which the new category of Korg instruments, identifiable by the Nu:Tekt brand, will focus, the NTS-1 includes a powerful synthesis engine with multi-effects in an extremely compact format for maximum portability and usability in any situation. NTS-1 is fully compatible with the logue-SDK*, allowing you to use custom oscillators and effects available for minilogue xd and prologue instruments, or to create your own!

* When using third-party oscillators and effects in the NTS-1, be sure to check their specifications with the developer, as these contents may sound different than when used with the minilogue xd or prologue due to polyphony.

An extended sound horizon

Contrary to what its size might suggest, the Nu:Tekt NTS-1 is a very rich instrument, with a digital oscillator inspired by the MULTI engine of the acclaimed prologue and minilogue xd, an arpeggiator with configurable modes, ranges and scales, and a dedicated section for spatialization, modulation and delay effects, all with various controllable parameters. With a single mono digital oscillator, a multimode filter, an EG and as many as 3 LFOs, 3 stereo effect processors and an arpeggiator, the NTS-1 is a powerful, flexible and fun synthesizer to explore.

The main oscillator reproduces sawtooth, triangular, square and VPM waveforms, as well as providing you with the ability to load waveforms programmed into the Korg logue SDK. These waveforms are shapeable and adjustable simply by using two potentiometers.

Various filters are selectable: low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass, all available in 2- and 4-pole versions, plus an OPEN mode. Resonance is present on all, for extreme control of the signal generated by the oscillator.

The three effect processors are derived from the KORG minilogue xd and include numerous reverbs, modulation effects and delays to make the sound reproduced by the synthesis chain even more captivating.

The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-1 also offers a very practical and engaging arpeggiator, as it is equipped with various patterns. You can configure the scale and have numerous note playback modes, including a Random mode for quickly generating musical ideas. The pattern length is configurable from 1 to 24 steps and, when synchronized externally, the step duration can also be adjusted between a sixteenth and a 64th.

Thanks to the ribbon controller, a simple user interface and the display, the NTS-1 presents itself as an extremely intuitive, as well as powerful, instrument. In addition to directly accessible parameters, you can adjust further advanced parameters using combinations of keys and potentiometers.

Adapt it to your needs
The fun doesn't end once you've assembled the NTS-1. The screws on the side panels are long enough to allow you to install custom side panels.

Equipped with AUDIO IN, SYNC IN, SYNC OUT and MIDI IN (TRS type A) connections, the NTS-1 can be used together with other hardware and software instruments. You can control it from MIDI controllers and sequencers, use it to process an external audio source with its powerful digital effects and/or synchronize it with other hardware.  

NTS-1 is powered via USB through the micro-B socket, which you can connect to any portable battery, computer, or to the mains using a standard USB charger.  

Free software included

The NTS-1 entitles you to free licenses for software such as Izotope's "Ozone Elements", "Reason Lite", and various virtual instruments produced by Korg and other brands. In addition, you will be entitled to a "Skoove" subscription: an application dedicated to interactive music lessons.
