With the Numa Compact X SE, Studiologic's compact Stage Keyboard, you can successfully tackle all Live or Recording Studio performances, thanks to its high-quality sound library with more than 140 sounds across 4 sections: acoustic pianos, electric pianos, tonewheel organs, synths, with 6 simultaneous DSP effects; controlled by an 88-note semi-weighted piano style keyboard and Aftertouch, complete with Master Keyboard functions including Pitch Bend and Modulation Stick. Nine multifunction sliders on the panel also allow direct control of the Drawbars, synthesis parameters, or the transmission of MIDI messages, while the integrated stereo listening system increases its versatility in conditions such as: rehearsal room, lessons, auditions, small clubs. Finally, the Numa Compact X SE features advanced connectivity such as: Audio Out, inputs for two pedals, MIDI In/Out (DIN), and a USB MIDI & Audio port.

The technology of this sound engine is directly acquired from Studiologic's Numa X Piano series, generating acoustic piano timbres using stereo multi-samples TRS (True Sound). On Numa Compact X SE, the PCM database has been completely renewed, with the introduction of new Samples of various types of acoustic pianos, and further refinement of the reproduction of typical piano phenomena such as string resonances, key releases, and pedal releases; details that enhance the effectiveness of the simulation, allowing the musician greater expressive articulation.

This sound engine of Numa Compact X SE simulates, with an original combination of Samples and DSP effects, the physical modeling technology used on Numa X Piano, capable of producing the most typical electric piano categories: "Tine" (tuned bars) and "Reed" (reeds). The system also offers separate control of "Tine" and Damper noise, allowing for many effective timbral variations including the characteristic FM digital piano sounds.

An authentic electromagnetic organ model (Tonewheel) has been implemented in this section, using an independent sound engine, with a wide timbral variety that includes the most representative organ models of this renowned instrumental category. Determining elements such as Vibrato/Chorus, Rotary Speaker amplifier, and percussions have also been completely renewed. Furthermore, thanks to the 9 Sliders on the panel, Numa Compact X SE can simulate the typical Drawbar control of the original models, which allows for the characteristic timbral articulation of these instruments with a remarkable degree of realism.

This sound Engine allows Numa Compact X SE to perform as a real synthesizer thanks to its virtual oscillators capable of generating a wide variety of waveforms, with an expanded set of parameters that includes Portamento, Staccato/Legato modes, polyphonic or monophonic articulation, with direct control allowed by the Sliders and buttons on the panel that intuitively enable the creation of original synth timbres or the simulation of the most classic Vintage sounds.

Versatility of Use

The original structure of Numa Compact X SE meets most artists' needs, such as its compact dimensions and light weight, ideal factors for musicians who travel; or the advanced sound generator with high-quality, widely customizable sounds and effects, the integrated listening system that allows autonomous use of the keyboard in conditions such as daily practice, lessons, rehearsals, auditions. Numa Compact X SE can, of course, connect to an external PA and be used for concerts, performances, or live events.

Control

The 88-key semi-weighted keyboard with aftertouch allows precise dynamic control of both internal sounds and any external devices, also thanks to the control allowed by the MIDI messages that can be sent from the 9 Sliders on the panel, in conjunction with the MIDI DIN ports or the USB/Audio interface that allow Numa Compact X SE to be used as a Master Keyboard even in a recording studio, connecting to DAW environments. The panel also features Pitch and Modulation Sticks, which allow real-time sound adjustment, while a bright OLED display shows all navigation, selection, or sound modification operations.

Expandability and Evolution

Numa Compact X SE is compatible with the dedicated software published free of charge by Studiologic: Numa Manager - click here to download, which allows for the updating of the instrument's Firmware, sound management, but above all the possibility to upload new sound libraries released free of charge by the manufacturer. All features that guarantee the continuous evolution and growth of the instrument, and thus its application possibilities.
