Already previewed and released as a limited edition in May 2017 at Moogfest in Asheville, Moog is now introducing the DFAM module – an acronym for Drummer From Another Mother – Semi-Modular Analog Percussion Synthesizer.Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) is a semi-modular percussion synthesizer handcrafted at the American Moog factory and is the first synth to be added to the Mother-32 family, a semi-modular tabletop synth with an on-board sequencer in Eurorack format.With DFAM, it's possible to build rhythmic patterns simply and intuitively, with the ability to modify every parameter during execution. As with the Mother-32, there's an 8x2 step-sequencer on board. The circuitry is 100% full analog and includes two oscillators, a Moog Ladder analog filter with selectable Low/High Pass, and three envelope generators. The two on-board oscillators can provide independently selectable square and triangular waveforms, and a noise generator is also included.DFAM.jpgThanks to its 3 envelopes, DFAM allows you to create high-impact rhythms in combination with the integrated sequencer. Each unit also comes with a pack of Moog patch cables for use with the 24-point modular patchbay: this way, it's naturally possible to interface with the Mother-32 for unprecedented creative possibilities.
