The Moho is a fuzz pedal from the French company Kernom featuring technology that allows real-time control over the behavior of internal components, making it the world's first "augmented analog" fuzz pedal. This pedal is highly versatile thanks to its PRE TONE and POST TONE controls, which allow you to manage the tone before and after the fuzz stage, and the innovative MOOD knob that changes the timbre of the overdrive.

KERNOM MOHO FUZZ OVERVIEW

The Kernom Moho is a fuzz that draws inspiration from a series of classic fuzzes and embraces both vintage and modern sounds. The versatility of this pedal allows you to exploit the full grit of analog circuits in a new way that increases its adaptability. The Moho is the first fuzz pedal defined as "augmented analog": this is because it is driven by an analog circuit but, thanks to modern components, the musician has the ability to control the internal circuit. This is achieved through the MOOD knob: this continuous 5-zone control allows you to find your sound among different types of fuzz. Within each zone, the knob is sensitive: this allows for fine adjustments, slightly modifying the same timbre. In addition to the VOLUME and FUZZ controls to adjust the overall volume and the amount of fuzz respectively, the ELECTRICITY control allows you to add a low octave (rotating left from the center) or a high octave (rotating right. When the control is at 12 o'clock, the octaver is not active). The POST TONE and PRE TONE controls allow you to adjust the overall tone respectively after and before the fuzz stage. This increases the versatility of the Moho. On the control panel there are two footswitches: one to activate the pedal and one to recall a saved preset. After finding the desired sound, the preset can be saved by holding down the PRESET footswitch for two seconds. The PRESET LED will flash white to confirm saving. Releasing the switch saves the preset. Once the preset is stored, you can modify the parameters, and pressing the dedicated footswitch will recall the preset with the saved parameters. The preset, for example, can be used to recall a sound with a low octave, or to switch from a lighter fuzz to a muff-style lead sound, or even to have two completely different sounds, as if using two pedals. In addition to the footswitch-recallable preset, the Kernom Ridge features MIDI, which allows you to take advantage of all the possibilities offered by internal technology: you can control the pedal with a computer, tablet, controller, or external switch. MIDI allows you to use up to 128 presets that can be recalled with Program Changes (PC) messages with an external MIDI switcher. With Control Change (CC) messages, you can control all internal settings with a MIDI controller.

MOOD CONTROL

The MOOD control is a continuous 5-zone control that allows you to change the fuzz timbre by exploring different colors. Five zones are illustrated around the knob and, within each zone, the knob is sensitive to movements: this allows for precise adjustments even when using a single type of fuzz.

Zone 1 is the leftmost, while zone 5 is the rightmost.
