Matriarch Dark is the new color variant for the Moog Matriarch, featuring the exact same characteristics as the colored version of the synth, but with a new all-black look that evokes the control panels of classic Moog modular systems. Moog Matriarch is a 4-voice paraphonic analog synthesizer that features a new selection of traditional Moog modules in a new semi-modular configuration destined to redefine category standards. Equipped with a Fatar 49-key keyboard with patchable velocity and aftertouch, its most interesting features include a 256-step Sequencer, Arpeggiator, stereo Ladder Filters, and stereo Analog Delay. Matriarch does not require patching to generate complex and expressive sounds and is designed to be Moog's new top-of-the-range semi-modular/Eurorack compatible product. Bob Moog's original designs, re-engineered to best integrate with DAWs, MIDI instruments, and the most varied Eurorack modular systems, are revived in a sumptuous, yet accessible, semi-modular configuration. Matriarch interacts perfectly with other family members such as DFAM, Mother-32, or Grandmother, enriching and governing an already rich semi-modular ecosystem with a traditional analog flavor. The Matriarch's 100% analog signal path generates a dynamic sonic range, from monophonic basses to paraphonic peaks, which perfectly evolves through different waveforms. The Moog matriarch features for the first time together the power of stereo Ladder Filters inspired by the classic 904A, envelopes based on the 911, the stereo Analog Delay based on the MF-104M and the Moog 500 series module, the stereo VCA based on the classic 902 module, and a 256-step Sequencer, all in an extremely attractive package.
