M173 Classic 108 Fuzz is the fuzz pedal from MXR based on the BC-108 loaded Fuzz Face Distortion, with the addition of modern MXR updates and a Buffer switch that makes it compatible with wahs.

OVERVIEW OF THE MXR M173 CLASSIC 108 FUZZ

Since its introduction, guitarists have always appreciated the crunch of the late '60s and early '70s, and the MXR M173 Classic 108 Fuzz faithfully recreates it. This pedal is inspired by the circuit of the Dunlop Fuzz Face BC-108, enclosed in a more pedalboard-friendly format and with the addition of modern elements, such as a battery compartment, optional AC power operation, and a true bypass system with LED. It features a buffer switch that eliminates the audible oscillation caused by some wah-wahs placed in front of a Fuzz Face. The Classic 108 Fuzz has a robust case the size of a Phase 100, with a hammertone turquoise finish.
