The HK Audio Linear 5 MKII 112 FA is a compact multifunctional two-way active speaker, easy to transport for extraordinary performance even in confined spaces. It features a 12" LF driver and a 1" tweeter, and the powerful 1200W amplifier includes a DSP with an integrated equalizer, controllable via DSP Control. All Linear 5 cabinets are made of plywood and MDF. This full-range version is ideal for stacked placement or as a fixed installation speaker.

Linear 5 MKII enters the world of DSP

Full control over sound emission, even during sound checks or performances, is a feature already well-known in large touring systems or the LINEAR 7 and LINEAR 9 series. The DSP CONTROL application allows remote control of all LINEAR 5 components, from stage monitors to complete PA systems, via the network and HK Audio's proprietary DSP CONTROL software for Mac and PC. The powerful DSP features, such as volume, equalization, limiting, delay, and polarity, are therefore accessible directly from the FoH position at any time.

Speakers that do not have their own DSP technology can benefit from this thanks to the controlled DSP OUT present in all LINEAR 5 series speakers.

A 10-band semi-parametric equalizer, high-pass filter, low-pass filter, delay, polarity, and limiting are available for each DSP output, regardless of the LINEAR 5's DSP configuration.

The cabinet of HK Audio Linear 5 MKII 110 XA

The acoustic characteristics and stability of wood are unrivalled in speaker construction. It is for these reasons that all LINEAR 5 components are integrated into wooden cabinets. Thanks to the combination of MDF and birch plywood, the mid/high units and subwoofers are extremely compact and relatively lightweight, despite the robust material. The LINEAR 5 MK II 118 Sub A is made entirely of birch plywood.

Each individual speaker is manufactured in Germany using a combination of high-precision, computer-controlled production and craftsmanship, with toxin-free wood, water-based lacquer, and a strict recycling and waste prevention strategy.

Multigrips Handles

Integrated MultiGrips handles make handling the speakers a breeze and ensure even greater safety in every situation. They also allow for the mounting of professional lifting hardware. The TB-45N or TB-45NQ tilt brackets can be mounted directly on the MultiGrip handles, making them ideal for professional mounting or installation. LINEAR 5 series models have 3 x M8 mounting points and can be used with AP-8 attachment points, for example.
