Novation LAUNCHKEY 25 MKIII is a USB MIDI controller for Ableton Live, equipped with a 25-key full-size velocity-sensitive keyboard, an arpeggiator, Chord and Scale modes, Capture MIDI function, Pitch and Mod wheels, 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, 8 rotary potentiometers with custom modes and transport controls. HUI compatibility for integration and remote control of DAWs: Logic Pro, Cubase, Reason.

Plenty of freedom of expression in a small space

Eight different Scale modes will guide you in composition by automatically adapting the played notes to the selected scale. Simply select the root note and your preferred scale, then start playing. For harmony, the three Chord modes transform keys and pads into an interactive surface for creating harmonic progressions. Thanks to the arpeggiator, you can explore new melodies and quickly find creative ideas, while the mutate function allows you to reinvent patterns in new forms.

Customizable Modes

The Custom Modes simplify the interaction between controller and software, giving you even more complete control. Programmable via Novation Components software tool, these custom modes allow you to configure the behavior of your Novation Launchkey keyboard, managing control assignments, MIDI routing, pad color, and many other features.

Launchkey 25 Connections

Launchkey 25 features a five-pin DIN MIDI output for connecting and controlling other MIDI devices. Thanks to its high potential in standalone mode, Launchkey will become the hub of your live set as well as in the studio, with or without the use of a computer.

Integration with Ableton Live

The Launchkey platform has always maintained its flexibility, and the MkIII revision continues this philosophy. Larger, velocity-sensitive pads allow for greater control over dynamics, while eight potentiometers put the software literally at your fingertips. Integration with Ableton Live is excellent, with a dedicated button to activate the Capture MIDI function, as well as track arming, quantization, click, and loop controls useful for quickly navigating your session.

Compatibility with the most popular DAWs thanks to HUI

In addition to offering immediate interaction and control, without excessive configurations with audio/MIDI applications such as Studio One, Cubase, and Pro Tools via HUI, Novation Launchkey is also fully integrated with other DAWs: from Logic Pro to Reason.

Firmware update 1.1

Firmware update v1.1 introduces the Strum Mode function. You can hold down notes and activate Strum mode using the Launchkey's mod wheel. Strum mode can be used in conjunction with other arpeggiator modes to increase creativity.
