Arturia is making available limited edition all-black versions with free cables for the 'step' series of its award-winning control surfaces. The 'Step Black' series is a limited series and features the same characteristics as the standard series, except that it includes a set of free CV/Gate cables. Arturia KeyStep Black Edition is a new type of keyboard controller, combining the best features of a compact keyboard with mini-keys while maintaining the playability of a 'full-size' keyboard. The size, velocity, and aftertouch of this new design guarantee the total freedom of a portable system without sacrificing functionality. In addition, Arturia has also integrated a brand new polyphonic step-sequencer with 8 programmable memories that can be recalled by simply turning a knob. Gate and swing times can be set easily and immediately to change sequenced performances 'on the fly', and recording, overdubbing, and transposition functions for sequences have also been implemented, all in real-time while being able to continue playing the keyboard live. As if that weren't enough, KeyStep also includes an extremely flexible and fun arpeggiator, also with a chord play mode that guarantees hours and hours of unprecedented musical experimentation. These features alone would be enough to make the KeyStep the best portable keyboard controller on the market. But Arturia went even further by adding many other connectivity options. Arturia KeyStep also includes USB MIDI connections (of course), standard MIDI in and out, clock sync, DIN sync jack, and CV/GATE outputs, with a separate assignable CV modulation output that can be used with the mod wheel, velocity, or aftertouch. Keystep is a compact and portable controller perfect for managing studio and live performances with a quantity of connections rarely found in other products of this type. With Arturia KeyStep Black Edition, 3 free CV/Gate cables are included in the package.
