Korg KAOSS PAD V is an effects processor with a dual-touch pad for immediate and expressive real-time audio processing, with sampling and looping functions. Next-generation Voice FX engine, dedicated Hi-Z input for guitar and bass, integrated USB audio interface.

Dual-touch control and expressiveness

The new touch pad introduces simultaneous control of multiple parameters using two fingers. This architecture allows for real-time combination of filters, delays, reverbs, modulations, pitch, and dynamic effects, creating fluid and complex sonic evolutions that react directly to gesture. Generate transitions, crescendos, and continuously moving effects during your live performances.

Integration in the studio, on stage, and in your live streams

KAOSS PAD V allows simultaneous use of MIC, LINE, and USB inputs, enabling you to combine vocals, instruments, and audio from your computer into a single signal chain. The microphone preamplifier allows direct connection of dynamic microphones, while the Hi-Z input allows connection of guitar or bass without the need for external DI boxes. Ideal for hybrid setups, it allows you to connect a vocal microphone, a guitar or bass, and a DAW source in a single compact system, reducing complexity and cabling.

Integrated USB audio interface

The integrated USB audio interface allows you to record, process, and transmit audio directly to computers and DAWs. KAOSS PAD V can be used as an audio interface for recording, streaming, or real-time signal routing. The new power circuit and updated audio path ensure stable, low-noise performance. It allows you to record performances or transmit live streams without additional audio interfaces, greatly simplifying setup.

Next-generation Voice FX

The new Voice FX engine, dedicated to vocal processing, introduces harmonizations, vocoders, timbre transformations, and pitch morphing controllable in real-time.

Effects for guitar and bass

The high-impedance input makes KAOSS PAD V a multi-effect for guitar and bass. It is possible to explore ambient textures, rhythmic modulations, glitch effects, complex delays, and reverberated soundscapes, all controllable via the touch pad. It allows KAOSS PAD V to be used as a creative effects processor for musical instruments, both in the studio and live, without traditional pedalboards.

Sampling, looping, and rhythmic control

Sampling and looping functions allow you to record up to 8 beats based on tempo, overdub multiple layers, and maintain accurate loop position during playback. BPM-synchronized Step Hold keeps the material always aligned with the groove, while playback and slicing modes encourage creative re-elaboration. Ideal for live remixes, building rhythmic patterns, vocal or instrumental loops, and dynamic electronic performances.

Historical KAOSS effects and customization

KAOSS PAD V integrates an effects library that combines historical algorithms from previous KAOSS generations with new modern effects. The internal editor allows program modification, creation of custom variations, saving user presets, and customization of pad behavior and LED colors. It allows you to create tailor-made presets for different live or studio contexts and recall them quickly during performance.
