The AEG is an electro-acoustic guitar with a compact body and comfortable neck, and has been very popular for over twenty years due to its ease of handling.

Ibanez is now pleased to announce that the AEG series has been updated in terms of electronics and appearance. The changes are based on the concept of "simplicity and ease of control".

The AEG50 features a new preamp, the Ibanez AEQ-TTS. This small and simple preamp has only 2 controls: volume and shape. This intuitive control allows for a natural acoustic sound in the central position. It also allows you to easily adjust the sound, going from lower, fuller tones to higher, brighter ones with the action of a simple control.

A new and intuitive LCD tuner is built into the preamp itself.

The AEG50 has a very understated rosette, binding, and headstock ornaments.

These fine details add a sleek and stylish touch to the guitar.

Other features include a spruce top, Sapele back and sides, the T-bar II undersaddle pickup that equalizes the volume of each individual string and perfectly balances the output signal, and special Ibanez Advantage bridge pins for even simpler string mounting.
