Description

Do you want to start playing the keyboard? The Alesis Harmony 32 provides you with an arsenal of sounds, backing tracks, and demo songs to learn while having fun, either alone (playing with headphones) or with company, thanks to its integrated speakers. Powered by 4 AA batteries, or by mains power with a standard USB power adapter, this musical keyboard also allows you to play your virtual instruments and your musical or educational applications installed on PC, Mac, smartphone, or tablet.

The keyboard, with a range of 2 and a half octaves (from F2 to C5), features keys of reduced size (80x19mm for white keys, 49x9mm for black keys) and feels of superior quality compared to the standard accustomed to this price range. With the Sustain button, we can activate/deactivate the simulation of the classic behavior obtained by using the piano's resonance pedal. 300 sounds are ready to use in the Alesis Harmony 32, all organized into 24 categories indicated on the control panel's silkscreen and can be easily recalled by pressing the Tone button and then interacting with the dedicated numerical keypad and the + and - buttons.

Pianos, organs, mallets, guitars, basses, strings, wind instruments, ethnic instruments, synthesizers (lead, pad), and sound effects—all sounds you can have fun with, practice with, or learn to play the keyboard with.

300 rhythmic bases are organized into 9 categories (also indicated in the silkscreen on the panel) and can be recalled by pressing the Rhythm button, then typing the preset number on the numerical keypad, or scrolling with the + and – buttons until the desired rhythm is loaded. Rhythms, as well as songs, once selected, can be played by pressing the Start/Stop button.

40 demo songs are available on the Alesis Harmony 32 by pressing the corresponding button. Loading and playing a demo song follow the same rules as previously seen for sounds and rhythms. While playing songs or rhythms, we can freely play both the keyboard and the percussion. By striking the 5 round rubber pads with a diameter of 1 cm, we can play the essential elements of the rhythm section: kick drum, snare drum, clap, tambourine, and crash. By pressing record, you can record what you are playing on the keyboard, and then listen to it once the performance is finished.

The integrated metronome offers four different settings for rhythmic division: 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4. This can be activated/deactivated via the large rubber button (15mm diameter) located on the right side of the panel. The BPM speed of the metronome, rhythms, and songs can be adjusted by pressing the Tempo buttons; the alphanumeric display will show the BPM speed. The large 3-character alphanumeric LCD display will support us in using the Harmony 32, indicating the identification number of the sound (T), backing track (r), or selected demo song (d) at the moment, as well as the values of the various parameters.

Battery, mains, or USB power

Powered by 4 AA batteries, or via USB through the type B port on the rear panel, which can be connected with the included cable (1.5m long) to a computer or to mains power using a universal charger (not included) for smartphones or tablets, the Alesis Harmony 32 is the perfect keyboard for those taking their first steps in music, for those looking for portability. A musical instrument to give to your children or grandchildren.

The Alesis Harmony 32 beginner keyboard is powered by 4 AA batteries, or by mains power with a very normal USB charger or adapter for smartphones or tablets

Integrated amplification, headphone output

In addition to the integrated amplification, which through the two speakers can reproduce up to 85dB SPL, the Harmony 32 keyboard by Alesis features a minijack output that allows us to connect headphones to play without disturbing those around us, given that once headphones are connected, the integrated speakers will deactivate. Moreover, with a "Y" audio cable (not included, for example the Quik Lok AD/40-3K, or the RKSA/150-2), using the same 1/8" mini-jack output, you can connect to the line input of any audio diffusion system: amplifier, powered speakers, mixer, etc.

Connect this Alesis keyboard to your computer via USB to power it and to play your DAW music software and Virtual Instruments via the 32-key mini keyboard using MIDI

MIDI keyboard controller

Play virtual musical instruments on your PC, Mac, or music apps installed on your tablet or smartphone. In addition to powering the keyboard, the USB port on the Alesis Harmony 32 serves to transmit MIDI note messages generated by playing the keyboard. As a class-compliant device, you won't need to install any drivers on your computer, as this keyboard will be automatically recognized as a USB MIDI device by any recent operating system. For more information, consult the manual for your software or music app. For connection to smartphones and tablets, adapters NOT included with the keyboard may be required: consult your device's manual to check for compatible adapters with USB Type A connectors.
