'Guild introduces the Memoir series with this retro-looking slope-shoulder dreadnought, featuring a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides with a glossy Vintage Sunburst polyurethane finish. The mother-of-pearl vintage-style rosette, like the Guild script logo, accurately recalls the classic look of 1920s instruments. The DS-240's sound is warm and full-bodied, with a satin-finished C-profile mahogany neck, Pau ferro bridge and fretboard, a 629 mm scale length, a 43 mm Nubone nut by Graphtech, and a compensated saddle. The open-gear, nickel-plated Guild "Butterbean" tuners have an 18:1 ratio, in perfect vintage style. The pickguard is made of tortoiseshell celluloid.'
