With the classic Alder Body, traditional "C" neck profile, and gloss finish, the Player replaces the old Mexico Standard, offering a guitar that, in our opinion, is better made with refined details. Interesting features include the tremolo with vintage saddles but a two-point pivot, always very rounded Alnico pickups, 22 frets with a 9.50" fretboard radius (modern at last), and a tone control that also affects the bridge pickup. A versatile instrument, a definitive alternative for those who get lost among dozens of brands offering interesting features, but which lack the magic of a Fender.
