Fender George Harrison Rocky Stratocaster

George Harrison's impact and influence on today's music have been enormous. Famous for pushing musical boundaries and for his sonic experimentation, with inventive riffs and revolutionary timbres, he helped make the Beatles legendary. George played a variety of iconic guitars in his career, but the most visually distinctive was his 1961 Sonic Blue Stratocaster, hand-painted with phosphorescent psychedelic colors, affectionately named "Rocky." George acquired the guitar in 1965 and first used it on the Beatles' album Rubber Soul, continuing to use it extensively on subsequent recordings, including Revolver, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, and the White Album.

The George Harrison Rocky Stratocaster has a lovingly hand-painted alder body, with a replica of Harrison's famous psychedelic brushstrokes. We've recreated even the smallest detail, from the design on the pickguard and plastic parts to the replica of the Grimwoods decal on the back of the headstock, the music store where the guitar was purchased. A trio of vintage-style '60s Stratocaster pickups sings with a dynamic, crystal-clear voice, looking back to the golden age of Fender. A Mid-'60s "C" shape maple neck and a 7.25" radius slab rosewood fretboard with 21 vintage-style frets offer a familiar, comfortable, and smooth neck profile. Finally, the Rocky Strat is equipped with a vintage-style tremolo bridge and tuning machines, guaranteeing the "look & feel" of classic Fender instruments.
