SD2 - THE NEXT GENERATION is a fantastic collection of acoustic percussion instruments. The exceptional and exclusive selection of drums and percussion places this product above all existing "drum" libraries, both in terms of quality and size. SD2 is the sequel to Stormdrum (which was one of the most famous acoustic percussion libraries ever made) and sets a new quality standard, even for those already familiar with EW products from the Quantum Leap series, thanks to the combination of its library with the new proprietary "EASTWEST PLAY" audio engine: the best you can get in terms of performance and sound rendition.


QUANTUM LEAP SD2 offers incredible sounds and multi-sampled percussion, all recorded with vintage NEUMANN microphones in the famous EAST WEST STUDIO 1, with the unmistakable sound of major Hollywood productions. All percussion instruments in the library are taken from the private collection of famous Los Angeles percussionists.

And, in addition to the 12GB library, SD2 also includes over 100 MIDI PERFORMANCES associated with as many audio patches, each with dozens of variations, with intros and endings ranging from the most aggressive and impactful to the most hypnotic. Thanks to the PLAY engine, you have thousands of variations for each MIDI PERFORMANCE. You can vary and customize your performance, adapt it to any metronome tempo without loss of sound quality (no need to time-stretch the part, just change the speed of your sequencer), always maintaining the original sound. You can customize your MIDI PERFORMANCE and vary, for example, the timbre by simply changing the dynamics of the notes (taking advantage of the incredible 24-velocity multi-sampling) to create completely new sounds. You can change individual sounds through sound replacement, mute parts within the performance and re-play them, filter and apply effects to only some sounds within the performance. If you like the sound of a performance but not its rhythmic pattern, you can use the multi sounds and generate a different rhythm that meets your needs. In short... you have infinite variations at your disposal.
