The Erupter is the result of over two years of tone-chasing, adjustments, and experimentation in search of the ultimate classic fuzz sound with a great low end (but not too muddy), a scratchy high end without being too harsh, and enough output to gently push a tube amp to its maximum.

The Erupter is designed to be placed anywhere in the signal chain and to work well with any type of pickup.

To this end, it has an input buffer and an internal transformer that simulates the impedance of a pickup to ensure that the input values are always the most suitable for the circuit.

Furthermore, a standard 9-volt power supply with center negative makes it possible to daisy chain it with common modern stompboxes without worrying about polarity.
